La 12ème journée de Ligue Celtique a été marquée par le lourd revers du Munster en Ulster et le succès étriqué du Leinster au Connacht.
La Red Army, si fringante en Heineken Cup, a cédé en Ulster, s'inclinant (33-17) avec notamment des essais de Ruan Pienaar et de Stefan Terblanche.
De son côté, le Leinster continue sa course en tête en allant l'emporter de justesse au Connacht (13-15) grâce à cinq pénalités d'Isa Nacewa.
Les champions d'Europe possèdent six points d'avance sur les Ospreys, vainqueurs de Cardiff (17-12) grâce à un essai de Tommy Bowe, et dix sur Glasgow, tombeur d'Edimbourg sur le même score de 17 à 12.
Pour la revanche du derby italien, Trévise a pris sa revanche sur Aironi, l'emportant largement (37-14) avec le bonus offensif. Enfin, Llanelli est allé gagner à Newport (6-10).
